METHODOLOGY
Awakened at 7AM by two cats tracking Ultramarine Blue across the bed sheets. Rolling out of bed, I prepare for the day. Box for two hours, then a persistent inner voice says that it’s time to paint. TV on, sound off. Pop in the Velvet Underground or the Supersuckers or whoever and pick up the brush. Start painting. Whatever’s in my head springs out onto the canvas. I work from images I have seen, but what comes out is only seen through my mind’s eye. Feel the energy from the city outside the window and draw from it.
